We are not aircraft brokers and we do not work on any kind of a sales commission. We work exclusively for you the buyer. If you prefer, we can recommend a good aircraft broker that will complete the sales process for you. On the other hand, if you would like for us to help we will always let you know exactly how much this service will cost. And we will put this in estimate in writing in the form of a quote for your review. We can help you complete the entire aircraft acquisition process. We can locate prospective aircraft, inspect, evaluate, and appraise almost any candidate that meets with your approval. All inspections include a thorough review of logbooks, records, AD's, service bulletins, and aircraft history. If you prefer, we can also negotiate this transaction on your behalf. In addition to the appraisal and evaluation, we can also perform an acceptance flight, ferry the aircraft, and deliver the aircraft to your airport if required. |YOUR SITUATION: You have a DC-3 and you are in need of information or assistance with lease or maintenance programs or operation of the aircraft under FAR part 91. Is there a good solution?
Yes. We have the resources both in house and around the country that can help with a solution for you. Be aware that this is considered a "large" airplane and can only be operated under FAR part, 121, 125, or 135 unless specific approval is granted and it shown that it does NOT meet the applicability requirements of FAR 125.1 If you are operating your DC-3 under FAR part 91 without this FAA approval, you are operating illegally.
If you allow another person or organization to use your DC-3, you are also required to file a lease with the FAA as per AC 91-37A. We have several leases available that are on computer and very easy to modify in order to make a good fit with the operations of your organization. We can help you organize and file this lease agreement. We highly recommend that you not operate your DC-3 without this lease in place and approved by the FAA.
Regardless of the operation that you have, the DC-3 must be operated under an approved aircraft inspection program (AAIP) The actual annual hourly usage or ownership of the aircraft is irrelevant to the FAA, you cannot operate a DC-3 without this important program in place. We can help you develop an AAIP for you or your organization and get it approved through your local FSDO office. We have several AAIP's available that are on computer and very easy to modify in order to make a good fit with the operations of your organization. We can help you organize and file this AAIP. We highly recommend that you not operate your DC-3 without this AAIP in place and approved by the FAA.
